Nothing i write can sum of the scale of what android has accomplished in such a short time, it is a real testament to the possibilities of mobile software engineering. These stats depicted in the images are astonishing.

For the first time in my technological career I am unable to see where this wave is going, or should I say TSUNAMI, where do the possibilities end? I soon see the market flooded with TV's, fridges, cars, ovens, vacuum cleaners, home alarm systems all running a unified android OS allowing for seamless integration of all devices, suddenly the predictions of thousands of computers per user looks possible, sensible even.

Take a look at these graphics and let us know what you think.

In October 2012 Milan Murray, a famous South African actress, will be running the Otter African Trail Run to raise money for the Tygerberg Childrens Hospital Oncology ward. With her mother having overcome from cancer only 5 years ago, Milan knows the pain a family can go through dealing with such a traumatic disease to someone with whom you are close.

Being a mother, she understands the heartbreaking struggle families go through when their child has been diagnosed with cancer. Milan hopes that this campaign can raise enough money to help many children overcome this life threatening disease.

Imobi will be supporting Milan along every step by facilitating an SMS service which will allow you to pledge a R10 donation per SMS. In order to donate all you have to do is SMS 'Milan' to 38198. Together we hope to help many families through their struggle.

"Milan Murray is not a runner. She’s an actress. She doesn’t even consider herself 'sporty' at all. You may know her as 'Dusty' on Isidingo, 'Frankie' in Binnelanders or 'Kate' in Mnet's new groundbreaking series ‘The Wild’, but to her friends, she's just an ordinary Mom and an ordinary girl, trying to make a difference. She loves her children, and everytime she sees how healthy they are, she thinks of those little ones who aren't. October is her birthday month. It is also Cancer awareness month. And this year her mom has been Cancer free for 5 years. So much to be gratefull for. Hence this crazy attempt to run the mighty Otter African Trail Run 2012 in aid of the Tygerberg Childrens Hospital Oncology ward. This ordinary, not-so-sporty actress will need your cheers along the way. She has 11 months to prepare and will hopefully run this 'Mother-of-a-race' in 10 hours next October. Sms ‘Milan’ to 38198 to pledge a R10 donation towards this cause. Help share the story and raise awareness. She might not stop a child from getting cancer, but she can help them get victoriously over that finishline... " -Maderi Louw van Blerk
